Job Description |
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing the procurement of all raw materials & trim for a market leading Brand and screen-printing operation, as well as procurement of finished goods for a growing Ad Specialty company.
He or She will do inventory planning, and coordination of raw inventory and purchasing with contract screen-printers and other ASI vendors to support company shipment demand.
Job Description:
The Procurement Manager will perform the following Job functions:
• Plan and coordinate activities related to the timely, cost-effective, planning, sourcing, purchasing, inventory control and delivery of production materials utilizing ERP & MRP systems.
• Plan and coordinate activities related to the timely, cost-effective, planning, sourcing, purchasing, inventory control and delivery of ASI products.
• Plan and coordinate all purchases and logistics of outsourced screen-printing with established contract printers.
• Coordinate with the Demand Planner and Controller on all matters involving inventory-carrying costs.
• Negotiate pricing and enforce the timely delivery of apparel from external vendors, holding suppliers accountable to performance standards using vendor score cards.

Qualifications |
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skills
• 5+ years experience sourcing & procuring apparel blanks & consumables for the Imprinted sportswear & ASI industries.
• 5+ years experience sourcing & procuring Ad Specialty Items for the ASI industry.
• Kanban experience
• Pull system experience
• Experienced in Windows based applications; Excel, Word and Power Point.
• Experienced in ERP and MRP systems.
• Experience in scheduling on both non-recurring development and recurring production programs.
Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure
• APICS certification a plus
