Job Description Managerial Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, training and evaluation of Lead, and non-supervisory production personnel. Carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, safety, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring employees; planning, assisting, and directing work; appraising performance; disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

Primary Purpose and Function
Directs, plans, assigns, and monitors production department operations and activities to achieve schedule attainment, productivity & efficiency, and departmental expense goals.
Enforces set company policies and procedures pertaining to production personnel. Manages and coordinates the activities of Production Department personnel by performing the following duties personally or through assistant personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Sets production priorities
- Communicates production priorities to Screen Team, Print Team & Finishing Teams.
- Assign Print and Finishing personal to specifics tasks on a daily basis, and on occasions multiple times within the day.
- Define all processes within the Production Department.
- Document and maintain “Setup Sheets” to ensure minimum setup time and repeatability.
- Defines, implements, and maintains Process Control points to ensure Quality requirements and productivity requirements are being monitored.
- Defines, implements, and maintains processes to ensure tagging, packaging, and labeling requirements are compliant to requirements.
- Assures the updating is completed for all labor and production required data for Epicor on a daily basis including labor hours, receipts to job numbers, and transferring inventory from production to shipping both physically & electronically.
- Leads daily production meetings and others as requested if needed.
- Interprets and enforces company policies and safety regulations.
- Interprets printing specifications, blueprints, and job orders and assigns to production personnel.
- Inspects, and approves press set-ups. Continually monitors press operations including color reproduction, registration, and print quality.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and print quality.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Accountable for adherence to standard maintenance programs on all production equipment as defined.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Production Management from four-year college or university; five years of screen printing and/or digital imaging production management experience; or equivalent combinations of education and experience. Strong skills in work planning, scheduling, and must have good judgment of color, design, and printing quality.

Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write report, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and employees.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions of practical situations to printing jobs.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
