Rapidly growing apparel company with national distribution has an opening for a career-minded Screenprint Department Lead. Must have proven experience in both printing and managing a department. Must have experience on both manual and automatic presses. Applicants must also have experience printing on a variety of gauges of polyester athletic garments while controlling shrinkage and dye migration.
Duties include:
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in screen printing.
Analyzes production schedules and print orders to determine type and quantity of work to be done, and availability of machinery and personnel.
Schedules work according to established priorities.
Confers with heads of other departments to ensure coordination of screen printing with activities, such as sample printing, production planning, screenmaking, color mixing, inspecting, and packaging.
Analyzes problems encountered in screen printing multicolored patterns, such as patterns out of register (alignment), colors off-shade, and mechanical malfunctions, and directs workers to correct problems, utilizing knowledge of screen printing techniques.
Participates in production work.
Performs other duties as assigned by management
