JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for screen making by selecting frame and fabric, screen stretching with pneumatic stretching equipment as well as retention-able frames. Responsible for following job specifications, blocking out and taping screens, reclaiming screen for reuse, mix emulsions, maintaining adequate screen making supplies, perform screen exposure testing, using various quality control measuring devices, and perform general maintenance on equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Check production schedule for screen/production priority
Pull appropriate films, inspect films and touch up as needed
Clean, condition and prepare frames to be meshed.
Choose proper screen fabric and mesh count, cut fabric to size.
Select and assemble frames
Stretch screen on frame, tension fabric to required specification, attaches it to frame, and label screen.
Prepare screens
Tape and block out perimeter of screen and perform final inspection of screen prior to releasing it to production.
Insures that an adequate supply of ready to shoot screens are always on hand.
Check for and repair pinholes in screens.
Clean ink and other materials such as tape, emulsion and block-out out of screen.
Clean and reclaim screens for reuse.
Maintain screen making supplies.
Perform general maintenance on screen making equipment.
Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment.

| Qualifications |
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information to production supervisor.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems and resolve issues independently.
Ability to perform a limited amount of required testing and R&D |
