Embroidery Department Supervisor
We’re growing very fast and are in need of a Career Minded Embroidery Department Supervisor!
Our Embroidery Customers are an extension of our Screen Printing and Graphic Design company. Our customer base includes local companies as well as many colleges and nationally known major companies.
As Our Embroidery Supervisor you will;
• Process orders that require embroidery on a variety
of products.
• This position also requires following work orders,
hooping garments, loading machines, trimming
finished produced embroidered items, inspect
for any defects, send to packaging department.
• You will also be responsible for training new
embroidery department staff members.
This position requires repetitive movements and 75% to 95%
of your day on your feet.
Qualification Requirements
• Three-Five year’s embroidery experience
• Multi-head embroidery machine experience
• High school diploma, with the ability to read,
comprehend, write and perform basic math computation
• Willing to learn new computer programs
• Ability to endure extended periods of time on your
feet
• Ability to perform frequent repetitive tasks
• Ability to keep strong relationships with other
departments such as the art, screen printing,
shipping, receiving and customer service
departments.
• Ability to meet all required deadlines; ability to
change priorities quickly as needed Ability to
independently handle rush orders and maintain a
mature problem solving demeanor
• Digitizing and Editing a MAJOR PLUS!!!!!
Responsibilities
• Maintain department supplies such as thread and backing etc.
• Maintain orderly department; orders in process and completed orders
• Insure all machines are cleaned, oiled and blown out
• Check for correct threading on all needles for each scheduled job
• Monitor the embroidery of product(s), keeping the machines running at all times
• Conduct inspections of completed orders to insure thread is trimmed and excess backing is removed
• Insure items meet our company standards
• At the end of the day shut down all machines, blow off all machines and equipment, wipe down all tables, vacuum or sweep the floor
